Civil Technical Officer
JOB PURPOSE:
This role leads a team of supervisors, technicians and outsourced vendors to undertake all preventive/corrective maintenance and improvement works to ensure that the facilities and civil assets are in good working conditions with minimum disruption to airport operations.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
This role leads a team of supervisors, technicians and outsourced vendors to undertake all preventive/corrective maintenance and improvement works to ensure that the facilities and civil assets are in good working conditions with minimum disruption to airport operations.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Assist in the preparation of detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Conduct site inspections and prepare comprehensive reports on the progress and quality of construction work
- Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
- Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, including troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Participate in the development and implementation of project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans
- Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and procedures
Qualifications
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Civil Technical Officer or in a similar technical role
- Strong working knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and project management techniques
- Proficient in the use of Auto CAD, BIM software, and other engineering design tools
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Airport experience advantageous
