The Chief Accountant at Rankoussi Group will oversee the company's financial operations, ensure accurate accounting records, compliance with accounting standards, and implement strong financial controls. This role requires managing the financial team, providing insights for business decisions, and ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and company policies. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS or local GAAP.
Analyze financial data and provide management with reports on performance, trends, and variances.
Collaborate with department heads to analyze financial performance and suggest improvements.
General Ledger Management:
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Ensure timely and accurate reconciliations of accounts, including bank accounts, inventory, and intercompany transactions.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor budget implementation and report variances to senior management.
Provide financial insights for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and profit maximization.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, VAT reporting, and timely submission of tax returns.
Liaise with external auditors during annual audits and ensure all audit recommendations are implemented.
Team Leadership:
Supervise the accounting team, providing guidance, mentorship, and training.
Review and approve work completed by the team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Conduct performance reviews and foster a positive working environment for team development.
ERP & Financial Systems:
Maintain and improve the company's ERP system for financial operations.
Ensure seamless integration between finance, procurement, and other departments using the ERP system.
Lead or participate in any financial systems upgrades or implementation projects.
Cash Flow Management:
Monitor and manage company cash flows, including payments, receipts, and bank relationships.
Ensure sufficient liquidity to meet operational and investment needs.
Taxation & Legal Compliance:
Oversee tax planning and ensure the company is compliant with all tax obligations, including corporate tax, VAT, and payroll tax.
Stay updated on changes in accounting and tax regulations, adapting company processes accordingly.
Strategic Financial Planning:
Support senior management with financial insights to shape strategic decisions.
Provide financial forecasts, feasibility studies, and investment analysis for potential projects and expansions.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).
Minimum of 7-10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
Expertise in accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP), financial reporting, and internal controls.
Strong understanding of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and financial reporting tools.
Proven experience in team management and leadership.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Knowledge of local tax laws and regulatory requirements in Qatar and the MENA region.
