Job Summary The Auto Electrician is responsible for diagnosing electrical issues, installing new electrical systems, and ensuring that all vehicle wiring and electrical components are functioning properly. The role includes troubleshooting faults, testing equipment, and collaborating with mechanics to provide optimal vehicle performance. Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and Repair Electrical Problems:
Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues in vehicle electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, fuses, and other components.
Install Electrical Components:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical components such as alternators, starter motors, batteries, lighting systems, and navigation equipment.
Perform Routine Inspections and Maintenance:
Conduct regular inspections to identify and repair potential electrical problems before they lead to vehicle breakdowns.
Test Electrical Systems:
Use diagnostic testing devices and electrical tools to evaluate vehicle performance and repair electrical issues.
Collaborate with Mechanics:
Work closely with vehicle mechanics to ensure electrical systems are fully operational and integrated with other vehicle components.
Ensure Compliance with Safety Standards:
Adhere to all safety regulations and industry standards while performing electrical work on vehicles.
Keep Detailed Records:
Document all repairs, maintenance activities, and components used for future reference and customer reports. Skills and Qualifications:
Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems and components.
Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and electrical tools.
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics.

Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification or diploma in Auto Electrical or related field.
Additional certification from a recognized auto electrician training program is preferred.
Experience:
At least 2-3 years of experience as an auto electrician or in a similar role.
Experience working with modern vehicle diagnostic systems is an advantage.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy equipment and stand for extended periods.
Comfortable working in various conditions (e.g., workshops, garages).
Preferred Skills:
