Investment Analyst (Remote - Full Time Contract)
Position Description:
Looking for an opportunity in an entrepreneurial culture to start your career foundation? Our client, Insurtech NY is looking for an Investment Analyst.
Insur Tech is now the fastest-growing segment of Fin Tech, representing 10% of the total global investment and more than a quarter of the of the recent IPOs. Join the largest startup and innovation community in North America. We are looking for a self-starter who we can develop as we grow the organization.
This role involves analyzing startups that apply to our accelerator, competition, and venture capital fund. You will have the opportunity to complete due diligence, draft investment memos, and meet startup founders.
Responsibilities:
The investment analyst will support Insur Tech NY / Insur Tech Fund with:
Deal pipeline management - manage the pipeline of startups that participate in our competition, accelerator, and events
Due diligence - support the due diligence of our Insur Tech Fund, and accelerators.
Investment memo - draft investment memo for investment decision-making
Corporate matchmaking - connect the startups in our pipeline with our corporate partners for official programs
Fundraising - support GPs in fundraising efforts for the fund
Ideal Professional Profile:
2 - 5 Years experience in a related field
Undergraduate degree in finance, business, or technical field
Startup VC experience is a must
Strong ability to conduct research
Ideal Personal Attributes:
Self-starter work ethic with ability to learn quickly
Demonstrated strong writing skills
Excellent critical thinking, analytical and research skills
Verbal communication skills
Motivated, optimistic, and passionate about the insurance industry
Strong ability to build relationships and trust as part of a small team
Willingness to be flexible and nimble
Logistics:
Full-time
Immediate start date with some flexibility

Insur Tech Fund is a sister company that invests in Seed-Stage Insur Tech companies.
