What we’re looking for

Responsibilities

• Migrate from PHP monolith to the new microservice architecture
• Implementation of new microservices into a current PHP monoliths
• Design and implementation of microservices - Java, Rabbit MQ/Kafka, Postgre SQL/My SQL
• Test-driven development and Test Automation
• Service monitoring, alerting, and incident mitigation - New Relic, Grafana
• Align technical decisions with other Senior Engineers from other teams

Requirements

• 5 years+ of work experience as a Java Software Engineer
• Experience with PHP
• Experience with My SQL, Postgres, and working with large data volumes
• Experience in software development, supporting the design and development of large-scale, distributed software applications - Rabbit MQ/Kafka
• Experience with microservices and cloud architectures - Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Docker
• Knowledge of architecture/design methods and patterns, data and API specifications, quality assurance, and testing methods - SOLID, OOP
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply logical and analytical thinking to complex problems
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work autonomously in a team environment
• English intermediate (B1)

Nice to have

• Prior knowledge of PHP 7+, Laravel, Symfony, and Fuel PHP knowledge is a plus
