Site Reliability Engineer
Your responsibilities will include:
Infrastructure Management
Designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure in GCP.
Maintaining and scaling key systems and applications.
Managing cloud resources, including Compute Engine instances, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Storage, and Big Query.
Automation and CI/CD
Creating and maintaining Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes.
Automating deployments, testing, and configuration using tools like Terraform, Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD.
Implementing Infrastructure as Code (Ia C) to automate infrastructure management.
Monitoring and Optimization
Implementing and maintaining monitoring tools (e.g., Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana).
Analyzing and optimizing the performance of applications and infrastructure.
Quickly responding to incidents and resolving performance issues.
Performance and Scalability Management
Developing strategies for scaling systems based on demand.
Conducting performance and load testing of applications.
Optimizing costs associated with cloud infrastructure.
Security
Implementing best security practices in cloud infrastructure.
Deploying security policies, managing access, and auditing logs.
Monitoring systems for threats and quickly responding to security incidents.
Collaboration and Documentation
Collaborating closely with development teams to understand system and operational requirements.
Creating and updating technical documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks.
Conducting training and workshops for development and operations teams.
Requirements:
Professional Experience
At least 5-7 years of experience in an SRE or Dev Ops Engineer role, with a focus on managing infrastructure in a GCP environment.
Proven experience in designing and managing large-scale infrastructure.
Technical Skills
Advanced knowledge of GCP and its services (Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Big Query, etc.).
Experience with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and CI/CD (Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD, Circle CI).
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
Advanced knowledge of operating systems (Linux) and networking.
Soft Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to solve complex problems and make decisions under pressure.
Proactive, initiative-taking, and capable of leading project teams.
