Senior R&D Engineer - Applications
About the job
We are looking for talented and experienced senior embedded software engineers to join the Software Platform Group in R&D to further develop our Software Development Kits. The role can be tailored depending on your skills and experience.
You will be working on our n RF Connect SDK, which is built around the Zephyr open-source RTOS. Most of this software is publicly available on Git Hub, and you will participate in open-source software development with partners worldwide. You will work in a smaller scrum team as part of a large group of experienced and competent embedded SW engineers.
The ideal candidate is a good team playerwho will develop software powering our world-leading ultra-low-power chips. Together with a group of talented people, you will work on reference designs, applications, and samples integrating a wide set of functionalities offered by Nordic’s n RF Connect SDK. Your code has a chance to be used by millions of people globally.

Key responsibilities
- Development of applications based on Nordic Semiconductor technologies
- Creating examples presenting our products’ functionality and performance
- Ensuring high code quality by providing tests and documentation of developed code
- Provide support to Nordic’s Technical Support and Field Application Engineers
Key Qualifications
- B. Sc. or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
- Several years of experience within embedded software design, implementation and testing.
- Very good knowledge of C
- Experience working with ARM CPUs
- Experience working with any RTOS or Linux kernel
