Senior Market Research Analyst
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Market Research Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in providing data-driven insights to inform strategic business decisions. You will be responsible for designing and conducting market research studies, analyzing data, and creating compelling presentations to communicate findings to senior management. You will be the go-to expert, providing comprehensive analyses of market trends, competitor strategies, and customer behavior to inform key business decisions.
Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth industry research, including market size, growth projections, segmentation, and key trends.
Analyze competitor activity, pricing strategies, product offerings, and market share.
Conduct primary research using various methods, such as surveys, focus groups, and interviews, to understand customer needs, preferences, and behaviors
Analyze secondary research data from market research reports, industry publications, and government databases to identify market trends, competitor insights, and industry dynamics
Track customer needs, preferences, and buying patterns through primary and secondary research methods.
Develop data-driven forecasts and models to predict future market conditions.
Identify and assess potential risks and opportunities for the company within the industry.
Prepare insightful reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders across the organization.
Monitor industry news, attend conferences, and network with industry professionals to stay informed.
Support the development and implementation of market research initiatives.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their research needs
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field (Master's degree a plus)
5+ years of experience in market research or a similar role within the industrial sector.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and statistical software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R).
Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Expertise in researching and tracking industry trends using industry reports, databases, and news sources.
Understanding of financial analysis and its application to market research.
Experience partnering with product managers/brand managers to solve business issues – recommend research methods based on need
Experience in B2B market research would a huge plus
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
