Which tasks can you expect? You will be part of our Global Finance team, reporting to the Cluster Controller responsible for the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), Central Eastern Europe, and the Adriatic region. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Acting as the main finance contact for your scope, helping the business translate strategic decisions into financial outcomes, and using financial data to guide decision-making
Managing risks and opportunities based on financial performance and business discussions
Taking ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning for your scope
Supporting your finance colleagues within the cluster as needed
Understanding the business model and market to provide constructive challenges and insights
Collaborating with local accounting and billing/invoicing teams
Conducting monthly financial analyses, comparing results against budget, forecast, previous years, and historical trends
Providing ad hoc analyses, such as business cases, to support management with financial decisions
Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes
Participating in both local and global initiatives, which may involve occasional travel
What do you have to offer?
A Master’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Corporate Finance, or a related field
At least 5 years of relevant experience in finance, with a strong background in business controlling
Fluency in spoken and written English (knowledge of German or Croatian is a plus)
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to plan effectively and make critical decisions
Confidence when interacting with senior management
High energy, motivation, and a passion for excellence
A proactive approach, critical mindset, and hands-on attitude
Advanced skills in MS Excel and Power Point
Familiarity with SAP4Hana, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Power BI is a plus
