Role description:
DB engineer for project 3.9 Continuous service for Oracle-based applications is responsible for enabling the features for the complete environments, implementation, integrity testing, application validation, troubleshooting & fixing issues post the changes, providing support for various issues, if occur after rollout, rollback plan, immediate implementation if any business critical databases the actual plan failed
Responsibilities:
Prepare a pre PROD environment to enable FSFO.
Sync the Data Guard if there are any issues / Errors in DG.
Rebuild the Standby as needed.
DB Service Creation.
PDB Level Service Validation.
Creation of a New DB.
Migration of Old PDB to New Container.
Activation of FSFO.
Troubleshooting FSFO issue.
Execute tests on pre PROD: Switchover and Failover.
DB Level Patching.
Execute OS-related changes [Unix Process, Load management, Deamon] as needed.
RAC Issues Handling with DR.
OGG Microservices and OEM setup.
Implement changes on PROD.
Requirements:
10+ years of experience of managing Oracle Database version 12c to 19c [RAC, Data guard].
Operating system experience in Linux.
Oracle management tools (Data Guard, RMAN, Data pump).
Architecture design principles knowledge.
Experience creating PDB Services, and stop-start services.
Experience handling different types of Data guard issues.
Strong practical experience with ORACLE in a production RAC (ASM)environment (19c).
Good Knowledge of Oracle Golden Gate [Clear understanding of process flow, Downstream databases, OGG start stop].
Good knowledge of Storage.
Good knowledge of FSFO problem-solving, and observers.
Experience with change and incident management.
Knowledge of Oracle SR handling.
Knowledge of OEM architecture, and managing OEM matrices.
