It drives the open platform strategy and execution, and pioneering Innovation programs.

Position Title: Portfolio PMO Analyst, Center of Excellence
Location: Gdynia, Poland

Role Summary

The role holder will be a key member of the FTSE Russell PMO Team, and will assist in handling a large, complex and fast-moving portfolio for the PMO Manager and Programme Director. Reporting to the PMO Manager, the new hire will be expected to help engage key portfolio collaborators within both the Business and Technology, be responsible for driving quality of reporting for milestones, risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, be able to act as secretariat in portfolio forums and be able to complete one-off programme-related tasks as and when required.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities

The role holder will be a key member of the FTSE Russell PMO Team, and will assist in handling a large, complex and fast-moving portfolio with the focus on Index Refactoring. Reporting to the PMO Director, the new hire will be expected to help engage key portfolio collaborators within both the Business and Engineering Team, be responsible for driving quality of reporting for turning points, risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, be able to act as secretariat in portfolio forums and be able to complete one-off program-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain the delivery schedule, milestones and tasks in the relevant scheduling tool(s) and support the identification and management of dependencies, delivery risks and issues and track status through the maintenance or logs.
  • Support project budget tracking, including actual and forecasted expenditure and accounting for variances.
  • Support with the monitoring of a change roadmap for the portfolio and assist with the implementation of change management processes, policies, and standard methodology.
  • Assist in the creation and collation of information and for reporting within portfolio forums (e.g. Working Groups, Steering Groups, GIC, IMO) and other senior forums within FTSE Russell.
  • Review, reword and question program data provided in Clarity to ensure a coherent and concise report is finalized and presented.
  • Bring up risks and issues where necessary, articulate clear problem statements and suggested solutions.
  • Ensure suitable visibility of tasks and progress and maintain communications within the PMO Team and other FTSE Russell partners as required.
  • Be able to prioritize and complete differing priorities in a highly efficient manner, sometimes with minimal supervision, and with strong attention to detail.
  • Act as secretariat to program forums where required. Proof-read documents before release from other team members.
  • Actively contribute to the implementation of the Change Framework.
  • Form and maintain strong working relationships within FTSE Russell and other parts of LSEG.

Competencies, Skills and Experience
  • A few years practical business experience in a large, dynamic organization with strong program management knowledge and skills. Alternatively, extensive previous experience in an operational role.
  • Ability to deal with a rapidly changing environment with a high degree of ambiguity, to solve challenges creatively.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills and proven track record to work effectively with different organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Strong skills in Word, Excel, Power Query, Power BI, and Power Point.
  • Competent in data analysis and data presentation.
  • Responsible for Clarity updates and making sure all milestones, business outcomes, benefits, and KPI’s are up to date.
  • Responsible for maintaining Clarity reporting cadence to respective IMO, GIC, GTF, Steer Co and Portfolio Boards.
  • Responsible for driving governance structure on monthly and weekly updates across.
  • Self-starter with positive, proactive, assertive presence, ability to motivate and inspire and establish and maintain credibility with senior management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English to understand, question, create and revise program materials with appropriate messaging.
  • Strong analytical skills with a track record of problem solving and decision making. Ability to take ownership of tasks and to make, propose, and defend decisions.
  • Strong cross functional team engagement and collaboration skills.
  • Previous experience as a Project Manager or PMO Analyst.
  • Good knowledge of the financial markets, products, competitors and future trends.
  • Agile project and program management methodology.
  • Ability to use collaboration tools (e.g. Clarity, Asana, Jira, Teams) effectively.
Education / Certificates
  • Professional certification such as PMP from the Project Management Institute is highly desirable.
