Export Control Specialist
A Snapshot of Your Day
Never a dull day in our compliance team! As an Export Control Specialist, you will improve how we manage and assess export controls on software and technology. You will create and lead training sessions to keep everyone informed. You will handle internal export control inquiries and stay updated on new developments. Additionally, you will manage changes to export control clauses in software contracts and support our global colleagues.
How You’ll Make an Impact
At Siemens Energy, our team is a key component of the global Compliance Team, with specific focus on Gas Services, Grid Technologies, Transformation of Industry and Wind Power. While our main operations are in Germany, we provide extensive support to these business areas on all matters, processes, and tools pertaining to Compliance.

How You’ll Make an Impact
- You will improve our processes for assessing and managing export controls on software and technology.
- You will update and lead training sessions on export control assessments and handling of software and technology.
- You will become the go-to person for export control questions and stay informed on new developments.
- Review and manage changes to export control clauses in software contracts.
- Expand your knowledge in other export control areas to help with projects and support global colleagues.
- Ideally, know EU and US export control regulations and have a basic understanding of software and encryption methods.
- A degree in one of the following: technical field, law, business administration, or similar education, combined with 2+ years of experience.
- Strong team player with a passion for working with colleagues around the world.
- Skilled in creating and improving processes in an international company.
- Confident in assessing risks and making decisions.
- Eager to keep learning and adapt to new technologies and laws.
- Proficient in English; German is a plus.
