‘Data’ is a function within Volvo Digital & IT with the goal to unlock the power of data for the full Volvo Group to become a fully data-driven company! With data, the core component of our transformation journey, we will, together with our data talents, make the Volvo Group 2030 vision happen. We will take care of all the aspects of Data, how it is quality assured, documented, made available, prepared, and used through BI, Analytics and Machine Learning. We have an ambitious transformation in front of us, with an implementation of the Data Layer in Azure as well as the reinforcement of Data Governance and Data Management in the full Group.

What you will do
As Digital Product Area Owner (DPAO) for Volvo Construction Equipment (VCE) you will lead, manage and develop a delivery function with five development teams. You will work closely with stakeholders to support Data & AI strategy and deliver data driven digital solutions towards value creation.
Your direct reports will be domain organized Digital Product Owners, and the development teams consists of data professionals like data architects, data scientists, data analysts and data engineers.

- Contribute to Volvo Constuction Equipment's data strategy and digital product vision.
- Manage and lead a diverse global team focused on Data Engineering, Analytics, and AI deliveries.
- Facilitate collaboration across development teams and business partners to manage dependencies effectively.
- Oversee support for digital products within team scope.
- Manage budget and financial follow up.
- Facilitate capacity management and resource allocation discussions
- Develop the team's skills and capacity for both short and long-term goals.
- Encourage the professional development and support career development of the team members through coaching and performance feedback
- Support the group's common architecture and technology goals
- Support overarching capabilities prioritization and contribute on roadmap planning.
Who are you?
To be successful in this position we believe you have a university degree and several years of experience of leading people in data intense digital domains in a global cooperation.
You have a solid foundation from delivering multiple data powered solutions like Power BI, Machine learning and Generative AI and you understand the importance of Data Management and Data Governance dimensions in global enterprise context.
The right candidate will be able to think and act strategically but also to operate and implement change tactically when required, dealing effectively with ambiguity and managing changing priorities. You should be passionate about driving strategic & technological transformation in a business focused, fact-based and collaborative way. This role requires solid communication and leadership skills and a passion for inspiring and developing people.
In addition to this, you are a passionate believer in lifelong learning. You should feel energized by working both independently and interdependently, have proven skills in cross-functional collaboration and thrive in managing, foster, and enable both the perform and the transform angles of the job.
In this role you need to have solid professional English skills, both written and spoken.
The preferred location for this position is either Wroclaw Poland or Gothenburg Sweden. Occasional travel is required.
