What project we have for you
You will be an important member of the Enterprise Digital department to support data platform development and operations. We follow CI/CD best practices to create, test, deliver, and deploy data products. You will play a crucial role in operating the data platform and deploying the latest data products with the infrastructure team and performing proper verification after the deployment to minimize the risk of system disruptions, data loss, and security vulnerabilities, ensuring business continuity and user satisfaction. As a data engineer, you will work with the data produced, your expertise will guide and assist our stakeholders in accessing the necessary data they need to perform their work securely. This role demands knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes, along with a basic understanding of AWS and Azure cloud platforms and software testing.
What you will do
Operate and maintain data platform with infrastructure team.
Perform data platform upgrade test including regression test, security test, functional test.
Monitor the data platform and data pipelines closely. Report issues and act.
Provide prompt and effective support to data customers, assisting with troubleshooting.
Provide technical guidance and support to data consumers and addressing technical challenges.
Create comprehensive documentation for solutions and architecture change to spread knowledge within data development teams and data consumers.
Design and maintain scalable batch and stream data pipelines to process large volumes of data from multiple sources.
Develop and deploy real-time data processing solutions using Apache Flink.
Develop simple dashboard with Power BI.
What you need for this
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
Be interested in big data technologies and eager to learn new technologies.
Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
Knowledge of Dev Ops, CI/CD, and software testing.
Basic understanding of AWS and Azure services like Redshift, EMR, and Power BI service.
Experience with programming languages such as SQL, Java, or Python.
Be able to use Power BI for data analytics and visualization.
Experience with data processing frameworks like Flink or Spark will be merit.
You must be a team player.
Excellent communication skills
Ability to drive an independent product stream within the context of a broader team project
Comfortable with navigating ambiguous and evolving situations
Proactive, self-starter and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
A team-oriented approach and with a flexible mindset
Fluent in English (and with Chinese language as a plus)
