Join us and be part of a dynamic team in managing the AXA XL’s Unstructured Data Platforms within Information Security Operations. You will play a crucial role in safeguarding AXA XL’s data from emerging cyber threats and ensuring regulatory & compliance.
Your responsibilities will include analyzing and remediating unstructured data directories, configuring access entitlement reviews, and managing data encryption. You will also have the opportunity to engage and collaborate with other teams, contribute to standard operational procedures, and shape our data security strategy moving forward.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
- Administrating Varonis, performing maintenance tasks, configuring, and monitoring controls to ensure that only authorised individuals or groups have the appropriate access to sensitive data, thereby preventing Unauthorised access, and enforcing data security policies, such as data retention, encryption, and entitlement reviews.
- Applying data classification policies to label and categorize data based on its sensitivity, enabling better control and protection of critical information.
- Continuously monitoring data access and user behavior to detect anomalous activities, potential security threats, and compliance violations within the organization's data repositories.
- Troubleshooting and resolving Varonis performance issues, handling errors and health checks.
- Ensuring that data protection practices align with regulatory requirements and industry standards, such as GDPR or HIPAA, to maintain compliance and mitigate legal and financial risks.
- Responding to and investigating security incidents, data breaches, and unauthorized access attempts, and taking appropriate remediation actions to mitigate the impact.
- Performing daily/weekly routine platform maintenance tasks, including (but not limited) to monitoring jobs, troubleshooting, and resolving performance issues, error handling & health checks.
- Implementing and support the governance of (unstructured & structured) data and use associated tools to ensure data is protected (Such as Varonis and AIP (Azure Information Protect)).
- Opening, managing, and resolving platform/application issues with external application vendor(s).
- Contributing to the creation and maintenance of operational procedures, documentation guides and remediation processes.
- Coordinating and interact with other areas across AXA XL providing data security related support.
This role will be based in Wroclaw, Poland, reporting to the Head of Data Security.
SHARE your talent
We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
- Experience administering Varonis products OR equivalent Data Security Platforms is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Security Toolsuite is desired but not mandatory.
- Proven experience in an operational role at global corporates.
- Experience maintaining File Shares/Security permissions in a multi-server environment including in depth knowledge of Microsoft server technology and Active Directory security.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work individually and in a team.
- Advanced verbal and written English communication skills.
- The ability to take ownership and initiative requiring minimal supervision.
