The Warehouse Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse facility, specifically tailored to the unique demands of the motor industry. This role involves overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of automotive parts or related materials, as well as managing a team of warehouse associates. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of warehouse operations within the motor industry, coupled with strong leadership abilities and a commitment to safety and quality. Responsibilities:
Lead and manage daily warehouse activities, including receiving, inspecting, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of automotive parts or related materials.
Ensure accurate inventory management through regular cycle counts, reconciliations, and inventory audits.
Implement and enforce best practices for inventory control, including proper handling, storage, and tracking of automotive parts to minimize loss and maximize efficiency.
Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and parts, and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
Train, mentor, and supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance on safety protocols, equipment operation, and company policies.
Monitor warehouse performance metrics, analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
Conduct regular inspections of warehouse facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics, production, and quality assurance, to support the smooth flow of materials and parts throughout the supply chain.
Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the warehouse team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with specific experience in the motor industry highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of automotive parts, materials handling, and inventory management principles.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software applications.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.
Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment preferred.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
