A. JOB OBJECTIVES
· Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and supervising all activities in the warehouse operations.
· Maintains organized data for effective warehouse management and inventory control
· Directs and supervise warehouse management, day to day operations within the warehouse pertaining to receipt, handling, storage, put-away, order picking, warehouse to warehouse transfer of materials, reverse logistics (return) transactions, housekeeping, sanitation and safety and security within area of responsibility.
· Vendor Rating and Vendor Management of the 3PL and local suppliers who supply services for the Warehouse(s).
· Plans for optimum utilization of Warehouse space and resources.
B. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Warehouse Operations
· Ensures efficient receipt, handling, storage, put away, order picking, returns management and transfer/issuance of materials at least cost and in accordance with established company policies, procedures and standards.
· Ensures accurate and timely documentation of all transactions pertaining to warehouse operations and other related transactions involving movement of materials to ensure data integrity. Ensure real time update in the management system of all transactions.
· Supervises all inbound and outbound warehousing functions i.e. Transfer/issuances, ensuring complete accuracy and efficient productivity.
· Coordinates with receiving and inventory section regarding inventory position, distribution and shipment plans.
· Ensures accurate and timely picking and consolidation of processed delivery receipts (DR).
· Ensures proper planning on deliveries and shipment priorities with proper coordination with Transport Team.
· Ensures timely generation of regular reports on Inbound, KPI reports on picking accuracy and receiving to put-away, handling performance, space utilization, rate of returns, summary of damaged materials for destruction and disposal, cycle count activity and other related reports.
Inventory Control of Warehouses
· Ensures that materials are kept in proper storage conditions following Good Warehouse Practices (GWP) and sanitation requirements for storage to avoid damage, deterioration or loss.
· Ensures that physical inventory is within the established accuracy level/standard at all times via timely and accurate documentation of all transactions and regular monitoring and validation of actual Warehouse stocks by physical inventory count versus system records.
· Supervises inventory control program including cycle counting. Ensures compliance with cycle counts activity provided by inventory team and conducts inventory recount for materials with discrepancy to finalize result of inventory count result.
· Strictly implement first in-first out (FIFO) stock rotation ensuring that good materials are issued/shipped to the client.
Cost Management and Control
· Plans for optimum utilization of warehouse space, conducts warehouse capacity plan on a regular basis.
· Monitors and controls overhead expenses. Maintains productivity and overtime tracking, thereby enabling the professional management of the Warehouse personnel.
· Ensures the maximum utilization of manpower and supplies.
· Prepares performance measurement reports to highlight cost improvement opportunities.
· Maintains consistently proper housekeeping, sanitation, security and fire prevention measures. Ensures that the warehouse satisfactorily passes the regular GWP, sanitation audits, private and government agencies.
· Ensures proper management of returns, rejected and damaged materials via segregation, timely disposition, sales returns transaction processing and disposal of BO stocks and scrap items.
· Ensures proper management of rejected, slightly damaged and damaged materials via segregation, timely disposition to develop tight inventory management and control.
Documentation and Report
· Manages the proper, accurate and on time documentation of all inventory and warehouse transactions.
· Submits reports to the management and to the internal clients as may be deemed necessary, details as follows:
- Warehouse Scoreboard/Dashboard- weekly and monthly
- Incident Report with complete details, corrective actions and preventive actions
- Quarterly damaged report- from warehouse and from client
- Warehouse space utilization and planning
Employee Relations and People Development
· Supervises the performance and task delivery of the following sections:
- Warehouse Operations- day and night shift
- Receiving- local, imported and from production
- Transport/Outbound
· Performs other related functions which the Warehouse Manager / SCM Deputy Manager may assign from time to time.
C. QUALIFICATIONS
· College graduate of any business course which will include, but not limited to:
- Licensed Industrial Engineer
- MBA in Business Management
- Supply Chain certification
· Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Warehousing, Transport and Inventory Management and related areas with in-depth knowledge in cost accounting, inventory control and product quality.
