Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Plans and meets with the Unit Heads and Officers on a regular basis to know and understand the requirements of the of each unit pertaining to quality and use these as input for recommendations to the Laboratory Manager.
Reviews, proposes, and validates the quality standards of each unit in the Clinical Laboratory.
Under the directions of the Laboratory Manager, leads the organization in its effort to acquire and maintain international certifications and standards pertaining to service and quality.
Collects the latest information, in coordination with Business Development, Sales, and Marketing for making recommendations to meet the needs of doctors and hospitals and differentiate Medi Linx from other companies.
In coordination with Business Development, Sales, and Marketing, monitors the progress of new test items in the clinical laboratory and manages the timeline for offers.
In coordination with Business Development, and Procurement, considers ways to minimize/reduce cost of reagents (i.e. switching to inexpensive reagents) while, at the same time, maintaining the accuracy of test results.
Recommend ways to minimize or reduce patient related incidents related to quality.
Responsible for the documentation and updating of Clinical Laboratory procedures.
From time-to-time other duties may be assigned by the immediate superior and the post holder will be expected to take on such variations within the constraints of the levels of proficiency and responsibility.
Qualification:
Minimum Educational Attainment Licensed Medical Technologist
Work Experience At least 2-4 years work experience as Medical Technologist
Trainings
Proficiency on internal accreditation standards
Technical Proficiency Training in Clinical Laboratory units, as appropriate
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Safety Skills Essentials (SSE)
