Loan Support Officer (US Mortgage - Hybrid to Remote)
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Loan Support Officer who will play a crucial role in assisting our clients through the mortgage loan process, ensuring smooth and efficient transactions. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of US mortgage lending procedures. Responsibilities:
Supervise the team responsible for processing paperwork for mortgage applications.
Verify the information provided on applications, obtaining additional details if necessary.
Communicate with customers to assist in selecting the most suitable mortgage loan within their financial means.
Gather data from customers, including assets, incomes, debts, and employment status.
Review file documentation for any missing or inaccurate information.
Validate applicant history information with credit bureaus and other relevant agencies to facilitate loan approval or denial.
Maintain, review, and ensure accuracy of client data in the CRM system.
Conduct needs analysis, product assessment, and funding position based on the client’s situation.
Stay informed about loan application deadlines and ensure timely communication with customers.
Coordinate with banks, solicitors, and clients as needed to facilitate seamless communication and transactions.
Requirements:
Experience with mortgage loan software programs.
Has the ability to work a hybrid capacity - twice onsite / week with the opportunity to work remotely after a month or two
Has excellent communication skills.
Strong supervision skills to direct junior staff.
Sales skills to sell loan-processing services to customers.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Knowledge of US' federal, state, and local levels of loan processing laws and regulations and ability to communicate these laws in a non-technical and conversational manner to others.
