IV. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Regular:
1. Conducts sample testing and analysis of water and water effluent, fuel quality and feed to the boiler, light fuel oil delivery and other materials such as bed materials qualities conform to the set chemical and physical standards.
2. Records results, prepares, and submits reports on completed water, fuel, chemical, or chemistry testing and analysis, ensuring accuracy of data and information.
3. Conducts audits and monitor the chemical quality of the Plant’s operating systems and cycles and prepares reports on results and recommendations.
4. Disposes used chemicals properly to avoid contamination.
5. Informs immediate supervisor when chemical or oil leaks occur for appropriate action.
6. Performs applicable cleanliness and sanitation procedures and practices inside the Chemical Laboratory.
7. Responsible for monitoring and tracking the lab chemicals inventory based on consumption
8. Communicates the results and implications of test results and monitoring activities on Plant facilities to Fuel Handling Supervisor and Shift Supervisors, making recommendations for remedial action as needed.
Occasional:
1. Reviews and evaluates laboratory methods and procedures and recommends operating guidelines to improve quality and compliance.
2. Responsible for monitoring and tracking the laboratory chemicals inventory based on consumption.
3. Responsible for preparation the chemical analysis reagents in the laboratory
4. Disposes used chemicals properly to avoid contamination.
5. Participates in all company programs and activities.
6. Performs other assigned tasks from time to time.
