Job Summary: The Grill Man is responsible for grilling and preparing various types of chicken, seafood, and other menu items to perfection. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality food in a timely manner, while ensuring strict adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Key Responsibilities:
Grilling and Food Preparation:
Prepare and cook grilled food items such as chicken inasal and seafood according to Anyhow Inasal’s recipes and quality standards.
Monitor food on the grill to avoid overcooking or undercooking, ensuring each item is properly cooked and presented.
Order Fulfillment:
Work closely with the kitchen team to fulfill customer orders accurately and promptly.
Ensure orders are completed on time, especially during peak hours, without compromising on quality.
Assist in assembling food items for serving or packaging for takeout.
Food Safety and Sanitation:
Maintain cleanliness of the grill station and ensure that all kitchen equipment is in proper working condition.
Adhere to food safety standards and local health regulations, ensuring proper handling of raw and cooked food.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure the proper storage of ingredients to avoid contamination.
Inventory and Stock Management:
Monitor stock levels of grilling ingredients such as meats, seasonings, and sauces, and report to the supervisor when supplies are running low.
Assist in the proper storage of food items, ensuring they are kept in appropriate conditions to maintain freshness and quality.
Maintenance and Equipment Handling:
Regularly clean and maintain the grill and other kitchen equipment used in food preparation.
Ensure that tools and utensils are cleaned and stored properly after each use.
Report any malfunctioning equipment or safety hazards to the Kitchen Supervisor immediately.
Team Collaboration:
Coordinate with other kitchen staff, such as fry cooks and servers, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Assist in other kitchen duties when necessary, such as prepping ingredients or cleaning work areas.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions to improve skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent; culinary training or certification is a plus.
Experience: Previous experience as a grill man or in a similar food preparation role is preferred.
Skills:
Ability to grill meats, seafood, and other food items with precision.
Knowledge of grilling techniques and food safety practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak hours.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality food.
Physical stamina to stand for long hours and handle heat from the grill.
Working Conditions:
Must be willing to work in Sta. Ana, Manila.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.
Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting heavy items and working in a high-temperature environment.
