Reporting Structure The role will be reporting directly to the Finance Analyst, in the absence of, directly to the Chief Finance Officer, and will work indirectly with People and Culture, Service Delivery, Talent, Finance, Growth, Marketing and Sales, and other Teams within the organization.
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent organizational skills.
Detailed Responsibilities
Maintain Financial Records: Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process. Maintain an orderly accounting filing system. Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all accounts are in balance and accurate. General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger by posting and verifying journal entries. Ensure all transactions are properly recorded. Tax Compliance: Assist with tax preparation and filing, ensuring compliance with National and local tax regulations. Audit Support: Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits as needed. Quick Books Management: Maintain and manage all financial data within Quick Books, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date records. Regularly update and reconcile Quick Books with bank accounts, invoices, and other financial documents. Requirements
Amenable to working mid shift and hybrid in our office in Cagayan de Oro City (thrice onsite weekly)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Xero) and Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with payroll software is a plus.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.
Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
