Title: Area Manager
Reports to: OMSenior Area Manager
Summary of Position:
Area Manager answers directly to the Operations Manager, responsible for overall performance (People, Sales, Operations and Profitability) of stores assigned to you. Area Manager leads the Restaurant Managers and or Supervisors to deliver desired business result.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Spend quality time in the restaurant developing and coaching the team shoulder-to-shoulder. The AM consistently strives to build the capabilities of the team.
2. Formulates the annual operating plans per restaurant to be reviewed and modified regularly to ensure annual objectives are met.
3. Ensures strong execution of the company's key platforms (Service, Food Quality, and Cleanliness & Condition). The AM's role is to add structure, discipline and process into the day-to-day activities of the restaurant that will support the flawless execution of the company’s system and standard.
4. Manages the P&L and ensures that the proper systems are in place as it relates to Gross Profit, Labor Management and Inventory Controls. The AM measures, tracks and develops plans against the scorecard and P&L performance.
5. Opening new restaurants, both company owned and franchised.
6. Assist franchisees in pre-opening tasks such as hiring, logistics, management and staff training, systems set up and implementation.
7. Assist franchisees in safety and security implementation.
8. Provide coaching to both managers and franchisees in managing costs and sales building. Coordinate with corporate marketing department all sales building activities of franchised stores including merchandizing, support needed for LSM and other initiatives to build sales.
9. Working closely with franchisees to ensure corporate compliance across the organization.
10. Assisting both corporate and franchisees in sourcing potential sites for expansion.
11. Ensures that the company Mission Statement, vision, core values, polies and standard operating procedures are implemented.
12. Prepares Performance Appraisals of Company Owned Managers, makes performance assessment for franchised store managers to guide MD’s and franchisees in preparing their appraisals.

WEEKLY
1. Email weekly DSSR to SAM
