About the role:
Responsible to help advance and execute the overall Maersk Air strategy to achieve sustainable profitable growth within the respective region. Formal leadership duties that include multiple teams and groups and serve as a lead to peers or other roles on a formal or informal basis.
In this role, you will:

Sales support and guidance – Align the Air Product objectives/targets (Sales to support/enable the Air Freight business line targets). Act as a Product expert in front of customers, guide/support sales to sell the right type of business to the right destinations.

Procurement - Responsible for Air strategy implementation throughout the region. Accountable for procurement in the gateway. Responsible for identifying procurement leverage across region and supporting procurement within the Areas, for relationship management with preferred partners on a Regional level. Negotiates BSA’s on a pan regional gateway level.

Pricing and tenders – Define region pricing approach in line with global strategy, accountable for the regions RFQ pricing, for the spot pricing above the defined threshold as well as for aligning the local pricing with the regional pricing desk and supporting the local pricing activities if required.

Solution design – Support Air Product development of customer specific solutions pertaining to the region network (Expertise role).

Operational Excellence – identify areas with needs for a regional ops excel. team intervention, centralize key pain points to be managed within the region Ops Excellence team with guidance of Center BPE

Operations – Accountable for the regional gateways and therfore the increase in consolidation and de-consolidation, optimization of net achieved costs as well as operations quality in line with the service promise towards customers.

Collaborate with Global Air leadership and drive the development and/or deployment of new processes and solutions within the region.

Intra-Maersk coordination – interact with Air Heads/ counterparts in non-regional Areas on most key topics.

Liaise with other Air product leaders to elaborate/support strategies and solutions across the network.

Manage operations resources as per productivity and forecast targets.
