U.S. Mission Pakistan is seeking applications from qualified individuals for Security Investigator position in U.S. Consulate General, Karachi.
Basic Function of the Position – The incumbent will be responsible for working in the Regional Security Office (RSO), conducting security investigations, and maintaining liaison with local police and other security and law enforcement officials. The incumbent will assist the RSO team in coordinating protection for post personnel and visiting U.S. government officials, obtaining and reporting information concerning potential security threats to personnel, facilities, or information. The incumbent will be responsible to conduct background investigations on potential employees and local contractors, support U.S. law enforcement in criminal investigations, and build relationships with local authorities and security entities to ensure the safety of personnel. The incumbent will also coordinate VIP visits, assist employees involved in crimes or accidents, and gather intelligence on threats. Additionally, the role involves monitoring criminal and terrorist activity, producing security analysis reports, maintaining operational records, and providing translation services when required.
Qualification Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in law enforcement, military, private security, or investigation is required.
EDUCATION: Completion of College or University Studies (14 years of education) is required.
Job Knowledge: Good working knowledge of the local and regional judicial system including criminal laws and procedures, and laws regarding marriage divorce, adoption and military service. Detailed knowledge of investigative techniques and security databases.
LANGUAGE: Level III (good working knowledge) Reading/Writing/Speaking in English and level IV (fluent) Reading/Writing/Speaking in Urdu is required. English language skills may be tested.
Skills And Abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to conduct investigations with the utmost discretion. Proficiency in drafting correspondence and reports in English, as well as skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook applications. Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting. The incumbent must hold a valid Pakistani motorcar/jeep driver's license. Applicants must provide proof of a minimum of five (5) years of licensed driving experience. Skills and abilities may be tested.
