In this role, you are responsible for a wide variety of assignments and some of the most critical tasks are listed below. For this role we are looking for a person that have experience with some of them and consider the remaining ones as exiting challenges!
Our ambitions for this role are high, but you will not be left alone. You will be part of our Sustainability team in Norway, work closely with and report to our Head of Sustainability.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Implement Sustainability policy requirements (mostly related to Social Sustainability) and frameworks that are aligned with Telenor’s values and goals.
- Drive, manage and further develop Telenor’s child online safety tool and program (brukhue.no)
- Conduct analysis and contribute to identifying key sustainability risks, opportunities, and performance indicators (eg. Double Materiality Assessment, Human Rights Due Diligence) in collaboration with our ESG manager
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability practices across various business functions, including operations, procurement, supply chain, human resources, and finance.
- Develop new and maintain existing sustainability partnerships (eg with Red Cross Norway)
- Engage key stakeholders, such as employees, customers, relevant regulatory bodies and communities to communicate Telenor’s sustainability efforts and foster meaningful relationships.
- Serve as a subject matter expert within sustainability with focus on social agenda, providing guidance, support and trainings and staying updated on emerging sustainability/ESG trends, best practices, and regulatory developments to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Communicate and produce content for Telenor Norway's sustainability report and web pages as well as massaging and briefs related to your expert areas
- Other relevant sustainability project and tasks
To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
- Minimum 3 years’ work experience within social sustainability area
- Expertise in Human Rights/Digital inclusion/Child online safety
- Excellent project management skills
- Relevant education within sustainability or other relevant subjects
- Experience with stakeholder management and effective engagement across organizational functions
- Excellent written and spoken Norwegian and English
