We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Global Projects to lead and oversee our global project management function. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project teams across various regions, handling escalations, setting and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring high project completion rates, and collaborating with product teams to align project outcomes with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement the global project management strategy to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global project management team.
Promote a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the project teams.
Project Portfolio Management:
Oversee the entire project portfolio, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans.
Ensure effective resource allocation and utilisation across projects.
Escalation and Risk Management:
Serve as the primary escalation point for all project-related issues.
Develop and implement robust escalation processes to resolve issues swiftly and
effectively.
Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimise
impact.
KPI Development and Monitoring:
Define, implement, and monitor KPIs to measure project performance, team productivity, and overall success.
Regularly review KPI metrics and adjust strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
Ensure KPIs are aligned with the organisation’s strategic objectives.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, product teams, and external partners.
Ensure clear and consistent communication with stakeholders regarding project status, risks, and outcomes.
Gather and incorporate stakeholder feedback to continuously improve project processes and outcomes.
Process Improvement:
Lead initiatives to enhance project management methodologies and processes.
Stay abreast of industry best practices and integrate them into the organisation’s project management framework.
Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and implement improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or PMP certification is highly desirable.
10+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing global teams.
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex projects.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage escalations and resolve conflicts effectively.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Monday.com, Hubspot, Microsoft Dev Ops).

May require significant travel to various global locations.

Location: This role is based in our headquarters in Bray, providing back office support.
Hybrid working, working remotely three times per week and 2 office days.
Hours: Full-time position with standard office hours and flexible hours.

Selection Process
Short listed applicants will be invited to attend three rounds of interviews, covering key areas of the role, such as discussions their experience in managing projects and people, problem-solving and conflict resolution scenarios, collaboration with product teams and stakeholders and experience with KPI development and monitoring. The second round will involve a presentation to assess the candidates strategic thinking, communication skills, and approach to managing global projects. Referees will be required following interviews.
