Senior Mechanical Engineer
KEY DUTIES
SITE INSPECTIONS AND MONITORING

SITE INSPECTIONS AND MONITORING
- Conduct regular site inspections of the various sites to monitor mechanical installations, quality of workmanship, and compliance with approved drawings, methods, and safety rules.
- Oversee and supervise all mechanical works on-site, with a strong focus on plumbing systems.
- Support the achievement of daily targets for all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) teams on-site
- Certify the completion of plumbing work and approve materials before their use on-site.
- To supervise the Junior mechanical engineer and all mechanical-related work, especially plumbing
- Ensure that design projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients and stakeholders.
- Help resolve unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise on-site.
- Collaborating with site supervisors, and other departments to ensure efficient operations.
- Assume full responsibility for all mechanical work under their supervision, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project goals.
- Assist in interpreting construction drawings and studying contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to the execution of any jobs. -remove access to contract documents.
- Provide expert technical advice on all mechanical-related work
- Review work produced by design engineers and assist in coordinating with other discipline engineers for smooth project flow.
- Ensure that design projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the expectations of clients and stakeholders.
- Produce or sketch working drawings when required to support on-site operations.
- Assist in interpreting construction drawings and studying applicable standards or specifications before work execution, excluding access to contract documents.
- Review work produced by design engineers and collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure smooth project flow.
- Conduct necessary plumbing or mechanical tests in collaboration with contractors, generating reports and comments for documentation purposes.
- Advise on mechanical costs at each stage of project development.
- Communicating and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports and progress photographs.
- Support the MEP team in achieving all goals and targets for the mechanical and electrical groups on site.
