PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST
Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement process from sourcing to contract negotiation and purchase order placement.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery capabilities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure a reliable supply chain.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Collaborate with internal departments to assess their procurement needs and provide solutions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations in all procurement activities.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally within the logistics industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers.
- Proficient in data analysis and market research to inform purchasing decisions.
- Familiarity with procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
