Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery: Plan, Write, and deliver comprehensive English lessons aligned with the Nigerian Senior Secondary School curriculum, fostering students' language proficiency and literary analysis.
- Assessment and Feedback: Develop and administer assessments to evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback for their improvement.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a well-organised and disciplined classroom environment that encourages active participation, discussion, and critical thinking.
- Differentiated Instruction: Adapt teaching methods to accommodate the diverse learning styles and abilities of students, ensuring that each student has an opportunity to succeed.
- Literary Exploration: Promote a love for literature and encourage students to explore a variety of texts, including Nigerian and international literature.
- Language Skills: Focus on enhancing students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, as well as grammar and vocabulary development.
- Cultural Awareness: Foster an understanding and appreciation of the cultural and historical aspects of English language and literature.
- Professional Development: Stay updated on educational trends, pedagogical strategies, and best practices in English language teaching.
- Extracurricular Involvement: Encourage students to participate in literary and language-related extracurricular activities and events.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
- Teaching certification or qualification from a recognized institution.
- Proven experience as an English teacher, preferably in a Senior Secondary School.
- Strong knowledge of the Nigerian Senior Secondary School English curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for teaching and a dedication to students' academic and personal development.
