Job Description
About the role
We are looking for two Wharf General Hands to join the team at our Nelson site.
You will assist with the loading and unloading of our deep sea and inshore vessels and contribute to the effective running of the Wharf.
Your hourly rate will range from $24.96 - $27.00, based on your experience and qualifications.
As a Wharf General Hand, you will be responsible for:

Loading and unloading the vessels whilst they are in the port
Operating a forklift to assist with loading and unloading as required
Performing inspections of unloaded product for any damage
Securing deep sea vessels to the wharf
Ensuring infrastructure is well-maintained and functional

Qualifications
For this role, you’ll need:

A current OSH certificate
To be physically fit and able
Great communication skills
A strong understanding of H&S procedures
Proven experience within the industry
