Are you passionate about our community? Do you want to utilise your skills and knowledge of the disability and mental health sector in a rewarding role within a collaborative and supportive team?

As a Specialist with Taikura Trust, you will provide leadership and support to our dedicated staff working in our Service Delivery teams. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders both inside and outside the organisation, in order to improve service delivery and ensure high quality outcomes for our clients

We are Taikura Trust. Since 2002, we’ve been supporting people with disabilities through the allocation of services and information to remove barriers, promote independence and to help them life their best life.

About the role...
  • Leading by example, taking ownership of a caseload and work allocation
  • Oversight of team processes, ensuring they are agile, compliant and fit for purpose
  • Collaboration with other teams and process owners across the organisation to ensure systems flow smoothly and key information is captured and easily accessible
  • 'Go-to' person for support around investigations, complaint resolution, service delivery issues, process roadblocks and training gaps within the team
  • Providing support to the Manager and deputising when needed, to represent the team with Funder/Providers, Whanau/Clients and across the wider organisation
About you...
  • Passionate about what you do and committed to Taikura values
  • Exceptional communication with the ability to relate to a diverse range of people
  • Leadership and mentoring experience, with insight into learning styles and coaching
  • Proven experience in co-ordinating support and services for people with a range of physical, intellectual or sensory needs
  • Sound working knowledge of the health and disability, mental health or education sectors. Clinical experience is an advantage.

What you will receive...
  • A friendly, diverse and supportive team
  • Robust systems and IT to support you in your role
  • The opportunity for ongoing learning and development, EAP and staff benefits
  • Flexible work arrangements, with part of the week working from home

At Taikura Trust, we don't just accept difference — we welcome it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our employees, our clients, and our community. Taikura Trust is proud to be a diverse, equal opportunity workplace. We believe our workforce should represent the communities that we serve so we welcome applications from people with lived experience of disability and diverse backgrounds.
