Let’s talk about the role and responsibilities : As a Senior Oracle DBA, you will lead the management and maintenance of Oracle databases with multi-tenant architecture, ensuring optimal performance, availability and security.
This role will see you provide advice, design and implement cloud security, overseeing Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) for streamlined database deployment management, as well as conduct rigorous database performance tuning, SQL Tuning, troubleshooting, and optimizations.
As a great communicator you will be strong at articulating complex concepts in a simple and easy to consume manner, along with building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Skills and experience required:
Minimum of 10 years of experience as an Oracle DBA within a large scale environment.
Proven hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ODA and ASM.
Experience with ODA Installation and upgrades
Experience with implementing Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) for high availability and scalability.
Strong across configurations and maintenance of Oracle Data Guard with ASM for disaster recovery and data replication.
Experience with developing, implementing and maintaining robust backup and recovery strategies.
Knowledge or experience of Site Reliability Engineering practices.
Oracle Certification (OCP or higher) would be highly desirable.
Attention to detail and strong communication skills across various levels of stakeholder engagement.
