Travel across the wider region in this autonomous role
Due to ongoing growth in the South Island region, we have an exciting new opportunity for an outstanding professional to join us in the role of Health Consultant based in Dunedin.
In this supported yet highly autonomous role, you will deliver training programs (first aid, CPR, Fire safety, mental health etc), as well as health monitoring, pre-employment and drug testing services across a wide geographical span within the South Island with a particular focus on servicing clients in and around Dunedin and down to Invercargill therefore you must be able to travel. You must be confident to work independently, take responsibility and take charge of anything that is thrown at you with a high level of autonomy and problem solving! To add to that, you must be comfortable working with Department of Corrections personnel at the prisons in the region, and to run hands on Fire Safety Training. You will also be extremely well organised and be able to store equipment and consumables at your home as you won’t always be able to go to the Dunedin office to pick up what is needed for the next day. You will be working a guaranteed minimum of 80 hours per fortnight and flexibility in work hours is essential. Travel to and from client sites is a key component of the role and you may be required to work occasional Saturdays. Early starts and late finishes are at times necessary to meet client needs and you may have to stay overnight when travelling longer distances. You will be allocated a company vehicle for work purposes which you take home each night as well as the usual '"tools of the trade" including a mobile phone, tablet/laptop, and all required equipment. Our team comprises health professionals from various disciplines: Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Exercise Physiologists, Paramedics, recent health science graduates and more!
