The DCC City Development team is looking for a researcher / planning analyst to join the team for a full time fixed term position until April 2025.
The ideal candidate would have a university degree (or made significant progress on their university degree) or have equivalent work experience in either: resource management planning or heritage assessment and protection.
Our ideal candidate will have well developed and proven research and problem-solving skills and be able to seek out, collate and analyse information from different sources to understand the pros and cons of different approaches to planning problems. You must be able to write to a high professional standard and be able to deliver work in accordance with directions and in short timeframes. The role will be supported by senior planning staff and will be a good opportunity for on the job learning for a recent graduate or mid degree student with some work experience.
We would consider flexible working arrangements for a post graduate student who is returning to study next year and may not be available for full time work over the whole contract period.
