Are you a strong swimmer with a passion for safety?
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Pool Lifeguards for the upcoming summer season. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, ensure the well-being of swimmers and contribute to a fun and enjoyable pool experience for all.

This role is a three-week rotating roster. 40 hours per week from Sunday to Thursday. The schedule includes one week of early mornings, one week of day shifts, and one week of evening shifts. Fixed term position from 1 November 2024 to 31 March 2025.

Responsibilities

Supervise and ensure the safety of swimmers in and around the pool area
Maintain constant surveillance of the pool and respond quickly and appropriately to any emergencies or potential hazards
Enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment
Administer first aid and CPR as required, following proper protocols
Assist with pool maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, pool water tests and maintaining equipment
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting pool patrons in a friendly and professional manner

Qualifications

Must be at least 16 years old
Possess a valid PLPC (desirable)
Strong swimming skills and physical fitness
Knowledge of water safety procedures and lifeguarding techniques
Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain certification before employment)

Work Schedule
The position requires availability on weekends, evenings, and public holidays. Shifts may vary depending on the pool's operating hours and specific requirements.
