About you
Our ideal applicants will have experience of working with tāngata whaiora and their whānau living with the effects of mental illness in our community and a proven ability to communicate well with tāngata whaiora, their whānau and colleagues, enhance equity of health outcomes and engage with Māori to enhance their ability to lead their health journey within Specialist Mental Health Services.
About the Role
The education portion of the role (0.25 FTE) will be to provide Mental Health education to maximise health care delivery within the Emergency Department setting
The Registered Health Clinician /Duty Authorised officer portion of the role (0.75 FTE) is to initiate a transformation change process that will establish and implement Mental Health and Addictions relation treatment and interventions based in the Whangarei Emergency Department
A commitment to improving health outcomes, cultural safety and quality of care for Māori is desired.
The successful applicant will work alongside other kaimahi within a supportive team environment of health professionals that is committed to the delivery of excellent clinical and cultural service that reflects the needs of our tāngata whaiora and their whānau.
