Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
As our new Procurement Business Partner - Digital you will be the primary point of contact for strategic procurement and commercial leadership, direction and advice to the NZTA Waka Kotahi Digital business group. This strategic leadership position will cover procurement activities across the entire procurement lifecycle.
As one of our team of four Procurement Business Partners, you will work collaboratively with key stakeholders in our Digital group to understand their business challenges, objectives and strategies in order to develop and deliver commercial strategies which support the Digital group to achieve their strategic goals and deliver value of money outcomes for NZTA in an effective and efficient way. You will develop and plan their Business Group's procurement activity in collaboration with the Procurement Delivery team and other teams within the Procurement team as necessary.

Ō Pūmanawa | What we're looking for
Our ideal candidate will have some or all of the following (but don't worry if you don't tick every box).
- Relevant experience in a similar business partner or senior category management role supporting a digital business or digital business group
- Relevant digital procurement experience
- Experience in a public sector context and working knowledge of New Zealand Government procurement policy and processes and DIA digital policy and processes
- Expertise in the procurement life cycle of complex goods and services
- Deep knowledge and practical experience in the provision of technical and strategic procurement advice to stakeholders in a complex matrix organisation
- Advanced level of commercial acumen, including commercial contracting, accounting principles and financial analysis
- A tertiary qualification in a related discipline or equivalent experience, with CIPS or related professional industry membership preferred

Procurement is an essential part of how NZTA delivers our critical business functions to support Te Kāpehu, our strategic direction. Many functions of NZTA are performed, in full or part, using external suppliers and we are one of Aotearoa New Zealand's largest public sector procuring agencies. NZTA is not only responsible for its own procurement requirements, but it also leads procurement practice across much of the land transport sector.'
