Based in our Auckland HPSNZ Regional Performance Centre, this is a full-time role (40 hours per week) which is fixed term until the end of December 2028.
High Performance Sport New Zealand (HPSNZ) are seeking a motivated individual with interests and skills that span beyond traditional sport science discipline divides. The successful candidate will work in partnership with National Sporting Organisations (NSO's) to provide best practice Performance and Technique Analysis (PTA) and Strength and Conditioning (S&C) support across multiple sports with an emphasis on Athletics disciplines. A successful candidate will bring a high standard of professionalism required to enhance the athlete daily training environment.
This role requires the provision of high impact strength and conditioning support, scaled appropriately to athlete age and stage of development. You will bring an analytical lens into performance conversations to help facilitate objective decision making and planning. Performance Analysis, technique analysis, and S&C support will contribute to, and align with, the sport's technical performance model. You will collaborate with coaches and technical leaders on required interventions and quantify subsequent performance change.
At least 3 years' experience working in autonomously within a high-performance sport setting is required including experience working with Olympic level athletes. Candidates should understand and have previous experience in the effective delivery of biomechanics, performance analysis and strength and conditioning to high performance programmes. A post graduate degree in Sport Science or related field is required. Skills in data management, modelling performance, coding languages and or data visualization tools will be an advantage. Candidates are expected to have a degree (or higher) in sports science, engineering, or science.
In addition to athlete facing support provision, this will be a collaborative role operating within a tight knit performance support team. Therefore, the ability to build and maintain robust relationships is critical.
The successful candidate may be required to provide support regionally and internationally at competitions and training camps.

The salary range for this role is between $88,000 and $96,000 per annum pro-rated over the term of the agreement.
