Who we are
Our amazing Ashleigh is leaving our team after an eight year career with Connetics, so we are on the hunt for our next super-star team mate. Aotearoa’s future is electric so if you are looking to ‘power-up’ your career, then don’t miss this opportunity.
We are a multi-disciplined, multi-regional electrical design, construction, and maintenance business. We maintain and develop electrical infrastructure assets for energy customers, including the third largest electricity distribution network in Aotearoa.
We know that what we do at Connetics matters, with solutions that begin at the intersection of community, creativity, and client relationships. We achieve this through exceeding our customers’ current and future needs, leading in sustainability and delivering innovative future energy services.
About the role
We need you to bring your business partnering skills and HR expertise to coach and support our dynamic group of leaders who are keen to deliver for our kaimahi. Our team engages on a portfolio basis and is also supported by a People Capability Coordinator and Advisor. With your solid generalist HR experience, you will partner with the business, while also providing support and guidance to other team members as needed. Collaborating closely, you will deliver high-quality, best-fit HR and ER advice and support. Your efforts will ensure that our practices are aligned with Connetics' strategy, vision, and values. As we are a small but mighty team, this role spans a full range of activity from strategic partnering to practical, tactical hand-on recruitment, workforce planning, change initiatives and performance management.
However, you will also be supported by and engage collaboratively with our People & Culture group specialist functions such as strategic talent acquisition and management, and organisational development, engagement and communications, and operational excellence in support of your delivery of world class business partnering.
Joining us means connecting into an award-winning team! We’ve been recognised in 2024 as an HRNZ finalist for Talent Acquisition and the winner of HRD HR Team of the Year. Importantly, we are led by a nationally recognised, award winning Head of People & Culture and surrounded by line managers keen to engage and collaborate.
About you
Your number one strength will be coaching, communicating and influencing and ideally you will be experienced in working within wider people and culture function, drawing on expertise from specialist areas. You are a strategic thinker who is also willing to get stuck into day-to-day delivery. You may be a highly capable HR Advisor ready to step-up, an OD practitioner looking to build leadership capability from a new angle, or a seasoned HR BP on the hunt for your next challenge. You'll need a good understanding of annual cyclical HR processes, lifting organisational capability, and ability to look for improvements. BUT, don't let your current position title get in the way of applying. Our multi-disciplined team can wrap around you and support you to success.
What we offer
We offer a truly collaborative environment where you can come as you are and just be you. You will have a supportive team that will always have your back and expect that in return you will have theirs.
Importantly, we are also able to offer flexible working arrangements including up to two days working from home. If you need flexible arrangements to support your work/life balance, please don’t let this be a barrier to applying. We’d love to hear from you and consider how we might support your needs. In addition, we offer:
- Competitive remuneration
- Modern office environment with onsite parking
- An employee scheme which includes discounts on everything from bikes to pet insurance
- Team breakfasts (and lunches), awesome social club, and all the little things that truly create a great working environment.
Pre-employment tests - Medical and Ministry of Justice
Connetics requires all successful applicants to complete a pre-employment medical test, which includes a drug and alcohol test and a pre-employment Ministry of Justice check.
