Our Section Manager roles are exciting, challenging, dynamic and rewarding. Your abilities will be tested and developed while playing a significant part in developing our people, delivering strategy, delivering client and project outcomes, and achieving operational goals. You will also play a business line leadership role across the wider Power business, working with three other Section Managers, the Power Leadership team, Technical Directors, and General Manager. You will be leading the evolution of a team culture that focusses on ability, excellence, collaboration, diversity, hard work, fun and team work to deliver innovative and client focused outcomes as well as the achievement of Beca’s commercial goals for this section. This role will enable you to play a part in helping others to develop into great people, engineers, and consultants. You will be known for, and keen to further develop your leadership skills across strategy implementation, operations, workflow delivery, financial management, margin, and productivity management, and have proven experience developing people. To be successful in the role you will have experience in leading a team of engineers, designers, technical specialists and project managers who are focused on the end result for the client . Ultimately, this is a key people leadership role for a dynamic and commercially minded professional with a collaborative approach. Significant people leadership experience with the ability to inspire a positive working environment, and you will know how to guide, develop, challenge, and inspire other professionals with experience in development focused conversations
A passion and excitement for the energy market, we are growing a team which is going to help decarbonize New Zealand
Key client relationships within the market from either a generation or distribution lens
Demonstrated experience and skills in creating positive business relationships, operating with credibility in a leadership role, being collaborative, and the ability to work with ambiguity such as across a multi-discipline business
Strong commercial awareness and decision making, and you’ll have skills across strategy implementation, business development, operations, workflow delivery, financial management.
