Stone Bench Top Fabricator Magic Kitchen & Bathroom Limited is currently looking for 1 motivated individual for permanent full time Stone Bench Top Fabricator position to work at Auckland Region, with minimum 30 hours per week, from Monday to Friday. Working in this industry would provide the successful applicant with numerous opportunities for advancement, and we would be delighted to assist those applicants who have a positive attitude, are dependable, and are seeking professional advancement. On a daily basis, the successful applicant will be working alongside our Stone Benchtop Fabricator team on various construction sites. This includes, but is not limited to:
Read and interpret blueprints to decide on dimensions and installation process
Determine the materials and equipment needed for the project
Cut, shape, and smoothen rock/stone materials using abrasive saw and power grinders
Construct and install prefabricated stone carvings/masonry units for buildings and interior fittings
Set and verify the vertical and horizontal alignment of structures with the aid of levels and plumb bob
Lay and align stones according to set construction plans and specifications
Position construction forms or mould along the guidelines of walls
Apply and spread mortar on slabs/surfaces using a trowel
Clean the surface of marble/stone structures using sponge, brush, water or chemical solution
Smooth and polish stones and concrete
Replace defective or missing stones on walls and structures
Participate with keeping all work environments clean, orderly, and safe
Must comply with company quality requirements
To be successful you will need to:
Have at least three years solid relevant experience, or
Have a relevant NZ Level 4 qualification in construction or equivalent qualifications/certificates
Be a great team player, be able to follow instructions
Be physically fit and willingness to work hard
Good eye for details and an ability to solve problems practically and effectively
have "can-do" attitude
