Are you an organized and efficient individual with excellent administrative and secretarial skills? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess exceptional attention to detail? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Judges Personal Assistant.
In this role, you will provide administrative and secretarial support to District Court Judges You will be responsible for facilitating effective liaison and communication within the PA judicial support team, handling confidential and sensitive matters, and optimizing the Judges' capacity to effectively fulfil their judicial duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to District Court Judges, including managing their calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings/events.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical files, ensuring that information is accurately documented and easily accessible.
  • Handle matters of a highly confidential and sensitive nature with the utmost discretion and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
  • Coordinate support services for visiting Judiciary along with reception tasks/duties.
  • Assist judges during court proceedings, including managing case files/documentation, and ensuring all necessary materials are readily
  • Manage and prioritize incoming communications, including phone calls, emails, and mail, responding or redirecting them as appropriate.
  • Assist with ad-hoc support tasks such as stationery orders, word processing/photocopying/scanning and arranging travel
  • Attention to detail when typing/proofreading Reserve Judgements or other
  • Act as a liaison between Judges, legal professionals, court staff and other relevant

  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant, personal assistant, or in a similar
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and court procedures is highly
  • Proficiency in using office software and tools, including MS Office Suite and document management systems.
  • Minimum word processing speed of seventy words per
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail and attentive listening.

Experience in a legal or court environment is an advantage.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The remuneration band for this role is $58,729 to $80,794 - the appointing salary is expected to range from $59,970 to $66,173, depending on the skills and experience you bring to the role.
