Housekeeping Supervior

Housekeeping Supervisors Needed
We have 5 permanent full-time roles to fill.
Location on the beautiful West Coast of New Zealand, Franz Josef Glacier. Backpackers, Motel, 5 Star Luxury lodges a holiday park and a popular bar & restaurant on the property.
Competitive pay rate between $25 and $30 per hour depending on experience.
This role is with a minimum of 30 hours per week with up to50 hours per week during the busy periods as the business requires. You must be willing to work weekends and public holidays to meet role demands.
Your Primary Responsibility:
You shall be responsible for the final room inspections prior to being occupied and have a supervisory role to the housekeeping team.
Tasks:

To "final inspect" rooms and notify Mews (the reservation system) that the room is clean and ready to occupy.
Ensure any defects or sub-standard presentations are “made good” by the cleaner responsiblefor that particular space.
To lead by example working along side the housekeeping staff to ensure they are carrying out their functional duties to the required standards consistent with:
- Cleaning rooms
- Changing beds
- Cleaning shower and bathrooms
- Cleaning the bar / kitchen / dining room areas
- Clearing any rubbish, debris, glassware, bottles and cigarette butts etc from around thegrounds
- To report any required maintenance to the company Trello communication board.
- To be sure laundry and storage areas are kept tidy and organised.
Weekly / monthly check of stock levels reported to management and advise on orderingquantities.
Housekeeping Vehicles:

To sign off each vehicle in the morning as to who will be driving and recording any knowndefects.

Reprot back on any new damage or defects on the returned vehicles having gathered all necessary details.

Provide training to new staff.
Managing any performance based concerns in conjunction with the general manager.
Assist with other duties as reasonably requested.

You will be required to have the following attributes:

Excellent customer service skills.
Being a great team player and most importantly having a positive "let’s get the job done"attitude.
Time management and social management skills.
A current NZ driver’s license would be an advantage.
A great customer focused personality.
At least 3 years’ relevant work experience, OR a relevant qualification at level 4 or above of the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework(NZQCF).

It is important to note that Franz Josef, is a small rural town 1 ½ hours to the nearest town, so the applicants need to demonstrate their willingness to re-locate to the area for the foreseeable future.
