FUNDING ADVISOR

Mō te tūranga | About the role
Work as a partner to the business to advise organisations and individuals on grants, sponsorships and scholarships that are supported by Waikato Regional Council and to manage the associated funding process.
  • Permanent role, 20 hours per week.
  • Develop and manage the funding processes across the business.
  • Develop and maintain an application assessment framework.
  • Develop and maintain an accountability framework to illustrate benefits derived from Councils grants and scholarships.
  • Support the identification and development of new funding opportunities.

  • Skilled at establishing excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Has an understanding of private and public funding models, opportunities, and potential funders.
  • An enthusiastic team player and be able to demonstrate strong leadership.

Mō ngā pūkenga | Qualifications and experience

  • Five or more years working in central and/or local government agencies, non-government organisations, or community sector.
  • Tertiary qualification and/or relevant experience in relevant disciplines.

  • Reporting to the Manager Business Advisory Services, you will work within the Finance and business services directorate, which supports the Waikato Regional Council mission through the provision of a broad range of professional services.
