Tauranga Wildlands are seeking a fulltime permanent Ecological Restoration Field Team Member for our Tauranga Branch, based at Tauriko. The role is to undertake ecological restoration work which includes pest plant control, planting and pest animal control. It is essential that you have a willingness to contribute and work in a team, are physically fit, and have a passion for working outdoors in all sorts of weather. The work involves the use of agrichemicals (herbicides), animal toxins (poisons), and traps on a regular basis. Some work may involve staying away in remote areas in basic accommodation. Full NZ drivers licence (preferred)

Agrichemical handling (mixing and application)
Pest plant control methods
Plant identification
Planting
Hand held GPS use
Use and maintenance of hand tools
Additional formal training will be provided as appropriate, and may include:
Growsafe
Controlled substance licence
Chainsaw
4WD
LUV/Quad bike
