We are looking for a talented and experienced Dry Goods Buyer with experience in Beer & Wine retailing who has a passion for the supermarket industry to ensure our Beer & Wine Departments are running effectively while maximizing opportunities.

DRY GOODS BUYER – LIQUOR
We are looking for a talented and experienced Dry Goods Buyer with experience in Beer & Wine retailing who has a passion for the supermarket industry to ensure our Beer & Wine Departments are running effectively while maximizing opportunities.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Great at building strong relationships and communicating effectively, especially with our supplier community
- Driven to find the best deals to pass on to our customers
- Focused on providing exceptional customer service at all times
- Analytical, self-motivated and show initiative
- Highly organised, reliable and accountable
- An experienced buyer or supervisor within the supermarket industry
- A Forklift licence holder or be willing and able to obtain one
- Securing product procurement on optimum terms
- Meeting with supplier representatives
- Ordering stock for Dry Goods departments, particularly beer and wine
- Analysing sales, profitability and product performance
- Managing stock levels in conjunction with the Dry Goods Management team
- Overseeing stock movements within the department
- Setting up new products and managing product deletions
- Setting up and maintaining correct promotional signage in the alcohol area
- Customer Orders and Enquiries
- Utilising our SAP business reporting systems to the stores advantage
- A commitment to our Health & Safety and Food Safety Standards.
