Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Creative Media Specialist to join our Te Tai Matihiko - Digital Solutions team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role is responsible for producing high-quality multimedia content across photography, videography, audio, design, motion graphics, and emerging creative media technologies. You will work across various projects supporting teaching, learning, research, and promotional activities.
Key responsibilities:

Deliver multimedia content (video, photography, audio, and motion graphics) to meet the University’s creative needs.
Assist with the planning and production of media, including pre-production bookings, technical set-up, and on-location shoots.
Provide post-production services, ensuring content adheres to our University branding guidelines.
Manage and maintain media production facilities and equipment, providing technical support and training as needed.
Collaborate with the wider Te Tai Matihiko - Digital Solutions team and other stakeholders to deliver consistent, high-quality creative media services.

Ō pūmanawa - About you
You will be a motivated, creative individual with a passion for multimedia production and strong technical skills in photography, video, and audio. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are excited about contributing to a high-performing team that delivers impactful creative media solutions for the university.
Key requirements:

3 - 5 years of experience in creative media production (photography and videography).
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and video editing software.
Strong technical knowledge of lighting and sound for both video and photography shoots.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
