(About this position)
We are looking for an enthusiastic
and experienced Senior Registered Nurse with extensive clinical expertise in the
diabetes, or a special interest in diabetes, to join our district-wide Diabetes
Nursing Service on a fixed term basis.
This
role provides clinical expertise and leadership to ensure safe and effective
services to individual clients. The role has a key focus on supporting people
with diabetes and their whānau. The role includes the teaching of health professionals
and facilitation of both formal and informal learning opportunities. The Diabetes Service covers the continuum of care for both adults and
children across primary and secondary services.

We are looking for a person with
extensive clinical experience preferably at a senior nurse level. They will
have participated in service and care planning within multidisciplinary teams
of professionals, focused on effective delivery of diabetes care.
Additional

key requirements for this position include:
Post-Graduate Diploma in Nursing (or working towards)

• Clinical expertise within diabetes care and

education to people with diabetes and/or long term conditions * Evidence of attainment of Senior Nurse Level
PDRP (or working towards) * Current registration and annual practising certificate * Leadership,
teamwork and collaboration skills - integral to continuity of service delivery * Good time management and the ability to
