Ko te tūranga mahi | About the role
The Mental Health Clinical Lead will be able to:
  • Lead a talented team of psychologists, and clinicians dedicated to promoting mental health and wellbeing to our community.
  • Drive innovation and best practice in clinical service delivery, ensuring the highest standard of care to our clients.
  • Collaborate with industry leaders and stakeholders to develop and implement cutting edge programmes and initiatives.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable at integrating psychological practice within a Kaupapa Māori framework.

Well, after hearing about us and about the role, you'll know whether you're the right person, and whether now is the right time for you. Your high-level experience and professional expertise in counselling is a given, and you will be excited to engage and learn alongside Ngāti Toa. Of course, you'll be well practiced with/in
  • The ability to actively engage with all people to sustain productive relationships.
  • The ability to work within a Kaupapa Māori environment.
  • The ability to actively work collaboratively across all areas of Te Runanga o Toa Rangatira.
  • Qualified psychologist with 5+ years of experience and a passion for helping others, preferably with managerial experience and a record of success in clinical leadership.
  • A team player with exceptional relationship building skills, and an ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
  • Time management, adept at prioritising tasks and multiple workstreams.
  • Demonstrates sound judgement, capable of making quality decisions amidst complex and multi-dimensional challenges.
  • Sharp critical thinking skills, keen observation abilities and problem saving prowess.
